For the individual, respect for privacy is paramount because it is a matter of their rights and personal empowerment.

At the National LGBTI Health Alliance (Alliance), showing due regard for each individual’s privacy matters as it demonstrates that our workers recognise individual rights and uphold the dignity of the people with whom they interact.

The 13 Australian Privacy Principles contained in Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) cover the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information. Provisions in this Act allow individuals to access their personal information and have it corrected if it is incorrect.

All enquiries regarding the Alliance’s Privacy Policy are to be directed to the Executive Director.

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

The Alliance will only record your email address in the event that you send us a message by email or if you register as a member. Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to any mailing lists without your prior consent by way of a specific request in writing. We will not use or disclose your email address for any other purpose, without your prior written consent.

Materials created by the Alliance and published on this website may be reproduced in part or in full on condition that proper acknowledgment of the Alliance is provided.

ABOUT LGBTIQ+ Health Australia
LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, (formerly the National LGBTI Health Alliance), is the national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer people and other sexuality, gender and bodily diverse (LGBTIQ+) people and communities. Dropping the “+” from our name only occurs within digital formats that do not allow mathematical symbols, such as within our domain name, handles and hashtags.
