Our Work

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia delivers a number of programs to help LGBTIQ+ people manage their health and access inclusive health services. 

We also help health care providers and other organisations deliver better and more inclusive health outcomes for LGBTIQ+ people.  

Below is a list of our current services. 


Peer-to-Peer Support

QLife QLife: Peer-to-peer Support
QLife provides anonymous, LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

Aging and Aged Care Inclusion

Silver Rainbow: Inclusive Aged Care 
The Silver Rainbow project is designed to improve the experiences of LGBTIQ+ people as they age and enter the Australian aged care system.

National Palliative Care Project

  The National Palliative Care project (NPCP
The National Palliative Care project (NPCP) will build the capacity of the palliative care sector to provide culturally appropriate services to LGBTIQ+ people through the development of e-learning modules targeted towards General Practitioners and Practice Nurses across Australia.

Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

MindOUT: Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
MindOUT develops and delivers national suicide prevention initiatives for the mental health and suicide prevention sectors to help them meet the needs of LGBTIQ+ populations.

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia provides a number of options for professional development, training, and education. These packages are highly flexible and can be customised to your organisation and needs.

ABOUT LGBTIQ+ Health Australia
LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, (formerly the National LGBTI Health Alliance), is the national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer people and other sexuality, gender and bodily diverse (LGBTIQ+) people and communities. Dropping the “+” from our name only occurs within digital formats that do not allow mathematical symbols, such as within our domain name, handles and hashtags.
